Crack me up. :D

Ops.... I forgot my Silent Sunday post... Oh well. :) Will have to do one next week... Or maybe not since I will be out of town.

 

So my coworker said on Saturday that I crack her up. I am LOVE it when I can make people laugh. Even if it is at me.
So you may want to know what was so funny.... Well I was telling her about my father leaving Cuba when he was little and I said "it was shortly after Hitler came into power" Then I blinked and we just started LAUGHING.

Oh (sigh) what to blog about??????

So I have a REALLY boring life... I go to work, come home go walking, eat, sleep, and interact with my family. 

Then there are days like Wednesday when I am not working , so I went shopping with my mother and we got some deals at Good Will, stuff at Hobby Lobby, and LOTS of food at Wal-mart, Oh and we got bread at the bread store. :) 

Today I also am not going to work, SOOOOOO..... Sleep in day for me!!!!! Nope. :) Got up early (i.e. 7:45) took a shower and went to the store and to get gas, OH and to the bank. :) I'm RICH AGAIN!!!!!! for a little while that is. :) Now to make cake, watch my sister make donuts, LOTS of them, for a party tonight. Then go to said party taking a side trip to drop off food at a friends house. My days off are getting busier........ I need to work on that. :D

Samuel brought Kaylin over for a little while Tuesday afternoon. We got a couple of funny pictures. :D

Maria and I went to our dear friends the P's house for the day on Wednesday. We spent time talking and walking and swimming... :D I did not get many picture of us doing all those things, but I did get a few pictures. :) So here they are... :D

After dinner The P girls and Maria and I went on a walk into downtown Newnan to the coffee shop to get a snack. Now, so you know why the pictures are SO unclear I have to tell you that I took the pictures on my phone. :)

 

So after all the fun we had I have almost decided to get a camera phone. :) SO, when I  have my phone I don't also have to carry a camera.

I love this song... I am not sure what the comedy is about because I am at work and have no sound... But Mark Lowry is one of the great comedians that can make me laugh every time I watch his movies or hear him on CD. :)

Sooooo A thought....

I was thinking of doing one blog post a week that is just a picture. I would call it either Silent Saturdays OR Silent Sundays.... What do you think? Yes or No? Which day Saturday or Sunday? :D

Decorating and a hair cut....

 This past week I have been busy with a few projects. But first I want to show you my hair cut. :) 

What do y'all think? I have not had it cut professionally in a LONG time. I was VERY happy. SOOOOO.... if you don't like it don't tell me. :D


I was replacing the light bulb in the hall. When getting off the chair the shade fell and shattered. :D 
SO... I made a new light cover. :) Yarn, glue, and a balloon....

 

 

I started decorating my room at the end of last month. I and my fried Elizabeth L. painted it a cream/yellow color. Then began the decorating process.

 

I decorated my full length mirror. I found a picture on Pintrest and decided to make something like it. :D

 

 

I made some shadow boxes for my sea shells of beach trips past. :) I decorated my desk wall, It was not quite complete in this picture, and I hung some curtains. Oh and I have a sea shell lamp. I did all this on Monday the 1st...

Then on the 4th of July we had our church picnic. But we had to have it inside because it was raining. and the fireworks got postponed till Saturday the 13th. So instead of watching the fireworks, after the picnic we went to a friends and watched Sherlock.

On Sunday the 7th I cleaned my room and took pictures of the finished product. The only thing left to do is hang up the picture over my bed. (pictured in the bottom right corner.)

Here is what I made my closet doors out of. :) Crazy right? I used a spring rod to hang them on.

Going back....

So I was going through my blog trying to remember what I had and had not posted about and what I needed to post and found that in April I did not post about my coworkers shower or my nieces birthday. SO... Guess what this post is going to be about... :)  I will only be posting a few pictures of the shower and a few of K's Birthday because I have WAY more then anyone would like to see.

So here we go: The shower. :D
 
The shower was held at our local library in the meeting room. The food and drink tables.

 

This is the cake table. Because this was her second marriage her and her fiancé decided to do a small wedding with just them and the preacher. So I made her a "wedding" cake for the shower, and sent the top home with her for their first anniversary.

 As you can see we had SO much fun teasing her. :) One of the ladies even gave her a paddle. :D

 
 She also got some really nice gifts like this rug.

Now for the Birthday. In April we had a Birthday party for my eldest nieces 4th Birthday. She got a TON of gifts and got to pick how she wanted her cake decorated.

2 of her best friends in GA decorating for her. :) The B twins. :D

 

After K got there she opened a few gifts. One was from Abuela, her great grandmother. 

 Another was from me. I got the same thing for K. and E. :) Maria is showing E. what it is. :D

 

 After that we went outside and played ballerina till supper was ready.

 

 Then she opened more gifts.

 

 and more gifts....

 

 and more gifts.... This gift was from Grandma and Abu... It was a swimming pool that would be set up a couple of weeks later.

After opening ALL the gifts she saw her cake and we sang Happy Birthday. :)
