A normal workday?????? Pictures in this post!!!!

So Sunday night I went to bed thinking tomorrow will be a “normal” work day….
THEN I woke up in the wee hours of the morning with the runs and pain in my stomach.  Despite that I went to work and over the day started feeling better. Papa came around 10 to trade me the car for the van so he and Mama could go get some stuff for the Williamsons new house. At about 5:30 I got a call saying that Papa had wrecked the van and Mama was being taken to the hospital with chest pain. About 15 min later, I got another call saying that the van was totaled. At about 9:00 Papa texted and said that he was bringing Mama home; she has a fractured rib, some scratches, and bruises.  Papa has whiplash and a seat-belt burn on his neck. Praise the Lord that is was not worse.

So you may ask “How did it happen?” Well as far as I can tell the story goes like this….
He swerved trying to not hit a dog in the road. His tire went over the edge of the road and blew up which caused him to lose control and hit a tree. Oh and he killed the dog in the process of all this happening.

Here is a picture of the van as it looked before they towed it.

Well there you have it... It was DEFINITELY NOT a "normal" work day.
'till later....

THE DOOR - AN EXPLANATION!!!

My aunt sent me this. :) I thought it was share worthy. :)

"WHEW !!!  Now I know it is those darned doors and not me !!!!!  LOL

THE DOOR - AN EXPLANATION!!!
At last an explanation: Ever walk into a room with some purpose in mind, only to completely forget what that purpose was? Turns out, doors themselves are to blame for these strange memory lapses. Psychologists at the University of Notre Dame have discovered that passing through a doorway triggers what's known as an event boundary in the mind, separating one set of thoughts and memories from the next. Your brain files away the thoughts you had in the previous room and prepares a blank slate for the new locale. It's not aging, it's the door! Whew! Thank goodness for studies like these!"

Oh MY!!!!

Well it has been a while since I have done a picture post and I was looking back at my pictures and decided I needed to start getting caught up. Soooo.... Here are some pictures I have been meaning to post but have just not done. :)

So I will start off with a fall picture:
The shirt that I made for Halloween. I wore it to work and then to our churches fall festival. :)

A FUN truck that was parked a a gas station in Carrolton.
Elizabeth REALLY liked it. :)

The Christmas bulletin board that Maria and I decorated for work.

Making Christmas cookies at a friends with friends. :) (Maria was sick and could not go. :( )

My sister and her family there first night back in the good old USA. :)

Tired little girls watching movies with Tia Maria, Tio Samuel, and Grandma.

Random pictures of the girls. :)

OK time to play the piano. :)

Samuel took his girl friend to a Christmas party. Before he left he asked to get a picture with "his girls" We could not seem to get one good picture of all of us. :) LOL

So mama, Maria, and I made new stockings for our family for Christmas:
Mama wanted a picture of me with all of them hanging and the girls thought that it would be a good time to join in. :) The one with "Sweet Pea" on it is mine. :)

All six.

After I helped Mama with the M. families I helped my sister with the W. families stockings. :D

Well I seem to be updated, at least up to Christmas. :) Of which I have still to get pictures put on my computer for those. :)

Hope that you all have a great week and a happy new year!!!
'till later...
